Safety and security

Co-parenting records matter most when things are difficult. These are the protections we have built, and the limits you should know about.

How we protect your account

  • Password plus a six-digit code emailed at every sign-in
  • Codes expire after ten minutes and lock after repeated wrong tries
  • Passwords stored hashed, never in plain text
  • Card payments handled by Stripe; we never see your card number
  • A log of sign-ins and access to records

Who can see what

  • Shared record: the two parents on the case
  • Professionals: only cases one of you has added them to, read-only
  • Private journal: only its author
  • Administrators: limited and logged, for safeguarding, legal duties or fixing faults

If you are worried about your safety

If you or a child are in immediate danger, call 999. If you cannot speak, call 999 and press 55 when asked. The National Domestic Abuse Helpline is free and open 24 hours on 0808 2000 247. Where there has been abuse, think carefully before sharing a platform with the other parent, and speak to a specialist adviser or your solicitor first.

Be careful on shared devices

If someone else can open your phone or your email, they may be able to see your account. Use a private email address, lock your phone, and log out on shared devices.
